Ovaleye has been a loyal supporter of Parallels, using the Plesk Control Panel long before Ovaleye even existed. This week is their Parallels Summit. This is an event we have yet to attend and will unfortunately be absent from yet again. From what we’ve heard, the hosting industry knows how to put on events that would rival Crave parties, and Parallels Summit is no exception.
In light of them pushing out their newest control panel version (by the way, they make the control panel Ovaleye uses) I wanted to take a moment to share with you why you will and why we do love Plesk 10.
10 reasons to love the new Plesk:
- Plesk 10 was made with website owners in mind. Our clients find the Plesk 10 control panel to be much more understandable.
- I can’t even compare the new Sitebuilder to the older version. In terms of ease of use, it is sooooo much better, it can’t compare period.
- The Plesk 10 storefront is the app store of the control panel experience.
- Great control panel integration with third party applications (watch for mention on Oxtender via 4psa in Open-Xchange top 10 post coming soon).
- The people at Parallels have done an outstanding job in listening to what people were dying to have and then delivering on those needs.
- It’s like an IT Department in a box.
- New User Roles enable a small business to delegate monitoring, setup, and delivery effectively.
- Great new developer features.
- Makes multi domain hosting a breeze in its new organization.
- Not bad looking either. As my dad (one of my partners at Ovaleye) said last night, its pleasing to the eye :)
PS. The photo above is of my son (love) who is now 1 week away from being 7 months old. Any parent out there knows that trying new foods is far from clean, finding things to occupy him with is not always easy, but one of the most effective ways to get a nap out of a baby is the stroller. You should know thought that Plesk 10 is always clean, easy, and effective (and without spit up).
