Earlier this morning I mentioned that Ovaleye uses the newest version of Parallels’ Plesk control panel. It is absolutely fabulous. It is one of the pieces in our company’s roll out of additional cloud services. One of those services is providing business class email as a service and in doing so, just this week we have committed to using Open-Xchange. This is something we are especially excited about.
Why are we excited about it? As business owners we have so much STUFF to keep track of, respond to, and be aware of. Open-Xchange helps us take control of all of that stuff (tweets, Facebook, blogs, email, schedules, shared files, and more).
- Social media integration (Twitter, Facebook, Blogs all in my email client. Nice.).
- Infostore and Webdav access to it
- Integration with Plesk through the 4psa OXtender (hooray!).
- The collaboration features available in Groupware make working with a team easier.
- Integration with mobile devices… iPhone :)
- A very natural email experience in a browser interface
- Good and economical replacement for Microsoft Exchange
- The people behind Open-Xchange have been wonderful to work with
- The team view on the calendar helps you plan out your schedule faster (or lets you know that your mother, or Chief Decision Maker/Business Partner, cannot watch your son, because she is in a meeting).
- One single webmail that brings all of your email together.
